Elena and Vic Pankey is a very special Tango couple. They have been dancing Tango together from 2001, and are well known for their classical style of dancing and teaching, as well as for theatrical stage show Tango. Elena and Victor is a special couple who dance tango with sensuality and harmony, they are being in tango embrace as one body with 4 legs. They like to dance Tango-life-story, create different plots, intrigues and sharp characters. They bring into the Tango an extensive back ground in classical music, dramatic arts, historical and cultural knowledge of different countries and times. They are dancers-educators; teaching and performing throughout the USA, Mexico and other places.

Elena and Vic are teaching is a very elegant, sensual, authentic tango. Their motto is: "Clear teaching brings one to a clear, confident dancing." Their Tango lessons "These 8 magic steps," "What is in Tango Embrace," "Tango is a relationship therapist" are very popular.Their private lessons (as the 2 teachers ) are very detailed and with precise techniques, and they are for some who really wants to learn how to dance tango/life.

Elena is from Russia, where she finished University as the philologist-linguist; studied character dance, ballet, music (accordion), acting. She lived and traveled in many different countries. Elena got married to Dr. Vic Pankey in 1996, and became American citizen in 2004. Elena has more than 25 years of job experience in Russia in many different areas of art, journalism, cinematography and dancing. Living in CA, her main hobby is writing. She publishes her articles about tango people in the "Dance Notes" USA Dance Magazine, where she is a contributing editor. Elena Pankey is a very skilled, well known dancer with the beautiful Tango adorns.

Tanguera Elena ("twinkle feet"), a producer/ choreographer of Tango Caminito Performing Company. Elena and Vic began to learn Tango with a Professional Tango Performing group "Las Pampas Devils"(Argentina) while cruising to Alaska. Then Elena and her husband followed this group (2001-2003). Elena performed with "Los Pampas Devils" on the stage of some ships. Then Elena and Vic made several trips to Argentina to polish their skills; learn deeper this unique sub-culture- tango. Later, Elena fundamentally and consistently was trained with the best Masters of the world; finished Tango Choreography and Master classes, passed a special professional test, has a special Tango teacher Diploma, she is a member of the Argentine Tango Master Association.

Dr. Victor Pankey has a PhD degree in Agricultural Economics (University of California, Davis, 1968), and carries on his family tradition as a forth generation farm businessman in California. His hobbies include flying, traveling, theater and opera. Vic played a clarinet in his youth. He loves music and has good sense of rhythm, historical knowledge, and understanding of Tango movements. He feels that Tango is an exiting and challenging dance, which improves balance, and teaches how to listen to each other. He is the musical/ technical director of the Company.
Elena and Vic founded Tango Caminito Dance Company in order to teach and perform Authentic Argentine Tango, and to give all dance couples freedom and the equal opportunity to perform as one might feel it!
